St. Eustachius, in his Church

Placidus was a Roman general who had a vision of the Cross between a deer’s antlers, and heard a voice revealing himself as the Christ. He converted, with his wife and sons, and took the name Eustachius. The family was separated, and only reunited on the eve of their martyrdom, around the year 140.
