On Thursday afternoon, Pope Francis visited Rome's Saint Gianna Beretta Molla pastoral centre at the San Giorgio parish located in the southwestern outskirts of the city.

According to the Holy See Press Office, the Pope met with around 30 priests serving in the 27th Prefecture of the Diocese of Rome.

The visit began around 4 PM when Rome's Auxiliary Bishop Dario Gervasi welcomed the Pope together with San Giorgio's parish priest, Fr. Romeo Antonio Vettorato, and the director of the pastoral center, Fr. Andreas Nabu, both religious priests who are members of the Canossian Sons of Charity.

Pope Francis met with the parishioners and pastoral leadership, marking one of his latest visits to parishes in the Diocese of Rome.

Just over a month ago, on 16 November, the Pope visited the parish of Our Lady of Hospitality on the outskirts of Rome, meeting with around 40 priests and greeting families assisted by the parish.
