Briefing on C-9 Cardinals meeting and review of Curia reform

The Council of Cardinals advising the Pope Francis, the so-called C-9 group, end their latest session in the Vatican and review the progress made during the ongoing reform of the Roman Curia over the past 5 years.

The C-9 group of cardinal advisers to Pope Francis concluded their latest series of meeting in the Vatican on Wednesday and take stock of progress achieved in the ongoing reform of the Roman Curia.  A briefing from the Holy See’s Press Office said their work this week had largely focused on finalizing the draft proposals for the new Apostolic Constitution of the Roman Curia, whose provisional title is Praedicate Evangelium. It said the C-9 group has prepared a first text of proposals ready to deliver to Pope Francis for him to read and offer any feedback he views as useful or necessary.  

The C-9 group also have drawn up a report detailing how the various stages of this ongoing gradual reform of the Curia have been put into practice over the past 5 years since the Council was first formed in April 2013

In this report, the C-9 cardinals reiterated the key principles, guidelines and criteria underlining this reform of the Curia and listed the main papal documents issued so far to advance the reform.
