Just before 10 am this morning, Pope Francis visited the atrium of the Paul VI Audience Hall where Covid vaccinations were underway for the homeless or those needing special assistance. They were accompanied by volunteers from charitable associations of Rome.
Pope Francis spoke with them as they awaited their vaccination. He greeted the doctors and nurses, while also observing the process for preparing the vaccine doses.
To date, about 800 of the approximately 1,200 persons in need are being given the vaccine this week and have been vaccinated with the first dose.
