Pope Francis greets the people of Romania ahead of Apostolic Journey

Pope Francis sends a video message to the people of Romania on Tuesday, ahead of his Apostolic Journey to the country. He says that he is coming to the country as a pilgrim and a brother.

In the video message sent ahead of his visit, Pope Francis says that the blood shed by the apostoles and the martyrs of recent times is too precious a legacy to be forgotten.  During his short visit, he will proclaim Blessed seven Greek-Catholic bishops who were killed for their faith.

Pope Francis will travel to Romania from the 31st May to the 2nd of June.
