Pope to pay tribute to work for marginalized at WMOF

Capuchin priest, Fr Bryan Shortall of St Michan’s Parish, Dublin, speaks of the excitement of the people to welcome Pope Francis on Saturday.

Fr. Bryan Shortall the parish priest speaks of Pope Francis’ concern for those living in the periphery.  To him the pope is trying to bring these God’s holy and faithful people from the margins to the centre.  Hence the pope’s encounter with the people on the 25th  is to recognize and to pay tribute to the work done with the people of God.

The Capuchin Order is engaged in the pastoral care of St Michan’s Parish since 1983 and care of the homeless of Dublin from 1960.
