Vatican Weekend for January 27th, 2018 features a report on Pope Francis’ general audience where he spoke about his recent visit to Chile and Peru and appealed for peace in the DR Congo, a look at some of the lesser-known Catholic heroes who risked their lives to save Jews from the Nazi persecution to coincide with World Holocaust Remembrance Day, Pope Francis is set to mark this weekend’s anniversary of the translation of the Salus Populi Romani icon to the Basilica of St. Mary Major and we find out more about this much-venerated Marian image, plus Cardinal Kevin O’Farrell speaks to us about the international catechesis prepared for the Dublin World Meeting of Families.  The program is prepared and presented by Susy Hodges.
