Angola’s Secretary of State for Social Communication, Celso Malavoloneke, commended the initiative as well as the resumption of relations between the European Union and Radio Ecclesia.

Voice of the journalist

On behalf of the European Union’s Delegation to Angola, Raquel Luz said that the project, "Voice of the Journalist" is intended to support the promotion of democracy and fundamental rights involving civil society organisations.

The Secretary-General of the National Union of Journalists, Teixeira Cândido, equally stressed the importance of the initiative in the promotion of fundamental freedoms. This, he said, would give support to communities that want to start community radios through which they could articulate their aspirations and needs.

Lastly, the Director of Radio Ecclesia, Father Maurício Camuto, in a few words, thanked the European Union for the support and stressed that the initiative would help to consolidate activities of the Catholic Broadcaster.
